There are thousands of roads, and safety is the first. When driving, the most important thing is safety. Among them, the safety of tires is very critical. Friends who have driven cars know that when driving, it is inevitable to encounter the situation that the tire is punctured by sharp objects such as nails. The tire may leak, or the tire may burst. Once handled improperly, it will cause irreparable losses. Generally speaking, after the tire is punctured, it is no longer suitable for driving. It should be repaired or replaced immediately. However, many vehicles do not have a spare tire and cannot drive to the tire store because of the long distance. In the end, we can only spend a lot of time and money waiting for the trailer rescue.
In order to solve this problem, major tire enterprises have been developing self repairing tires. At present, the self repairing tires of many brands in the market are sprayed with self repairing materials on the basis of ordinary tires, and a layer of jelly like soft rubber with a thickness of about 3mm is coated on the inner side of the tire crown. When the tire has air leakage, the layer of soft rubber is instantly filled with the air pressure in the tire to prevent air leakage. This is the so-called self repairing puncture proof tire. Generally, as long as the nail diameter is less than 5mm, even if the nail is removed, it will be repaired instantly without air leakage.
Although self repairing tires have unique advantages, they are not very popular in the market so far. Why? From the analysis of technical reasons, at present, the rubber protective layer of punctured anti leakage self repairing tire is sprayed to the inner wall of the tire in the form of spraying, and the whole production process is relatively complicated.
First, the spraying production needs to purchase expensive spraying equipment, and the production cost of the product is high; Second, the spraying process requires high-temperature heating and glue melting of the rubber material. The process of glue melting and spraying will produce a large amount of smoke, which will cause environmental pollution; Third, in order to improve the adhesive force between the rubber and the tire, the inner surface of the tire needs to be cleaned and polished before spraying, and the oil stain of the release agent on the inner surface of the tire needs to be cleaned. If the treatment is improper or the cleaning and polishing are not in place, the rubber will fall off, turn over, shift and accumulate during the driving of the tire. If the polishing is too heavy, it will damage the inner layer of the tire, and the tire is prone to slow air leakage; Fourth, the rubber used in spraying processing has poor high-temperature resistance, and the rubber tends to soften and deteriorate with the increase of temperature in use. It should be known that the softening point of this hot-melt adhesive is usually around 70 ° C, and it is very easy to degumm and flow in summer, so that the self sealing and leakage prevention effect of the tire is ineffective. The temperature rise will also reduce the adhesive property of the rubber, leading to the phenomenon of rubber falling, flanging, displacement and rubber accumulation, It brings hidden dangers to the driving. Many car owners who have used such self-healing tires have reported that the rubber in the tires will flow to the bottom and solidify. When driving again, it is unbalanced and the vehicle body trembles, so it is not easy to do tire dynamic balancing. This is also the key reason why it is difficult to popularize self repairing tires.
To sum up, the traditional self-healing tire spraying process can not only play a protective role, but also bring new harm to the vehicle. In order to overcome this technical difficulty, many tire enterprises at home and abroad have invested a lot of money in research and development. Although most of the brands that develop self-healing safety tires are international brands, it is fortunate that domestic tire enterprises have achieved "overtaking in a curve" in this project, taking the lead in developing a new generation of self-healing safety tires that solve the technical pain.
